Digital Effects Technique Project
The third term project was basically a warm up for master project in terms of planning and time management and I think I did pretty good in that department. What I didn't see coming was the complexities that working with fluids got me trapped into!
I had never worked with fluids before so I thought this might be a good chance to explore this a bit, a decision that soon I came to regret since the fluids in Houdini have a mind of their own! Nevertheless it was a challenge worth facing. I tried to be creative and use the fluids in an abstract and interesting content. After six weeks of hard work the outcome was something still in need of improvement, but I believe I opened a window to an interesting view! Watch is from the link below (-180).

Masters Group Project
Working in a group is never easy! Of course it would be if people stick to their roles but when they want to do everything and nothing… well, let's just stop there! We wasted a lot of time trying to pick an idea. The group first rejected my idea but then came back to it after two weeks which of course made me excited but worried at the same time since we lost two weeks of production.
With the filming done we have two and half week left for post-production which was enough to put the shots together but not enough to do a good final polishing. The team worked really hard in the last week and we had a finished product for the deadline. The Question Mark was very well received in the screening and won "The Difference Award" in the 11th Land Crab Film Festival.

Underwater Landscape
First term project at NCCA; A very interesting and enjoyable learning experience. First time for me to tackle some high level composting and boy I enjoyed it! Especially solving problems; it's such a self-rewarding process. I could finally call myself a compositor.
